Everything has a beginning but not everything from the beginning was recorded. This website is created for SASMA, for San Andres School of Masinloc (Zambales, Philippines). Not everything about her was recorded but bit by bit fond memories are recorded in the hearts of those who come and are nurtured in her motherly care since school opening in 1955.
I became part of this community twice. I enrolled in her care on June 1966 to start my secondary education and happily graduated in April 20, 1970. My classmate and friend reminded me of this date.
And then in June 1978 I came back to join the faculty. I hope to enjoy my optional retirement from my teaching post starting May 1, 2009.
Looking back I think my experiences would help those who are in the trade. My triumphs and failures would somehow help. Today we now have the information superhighway as a powerful medium for this sharing.
Computers in school is now very common. But are we able to maximize the use of computers in our educational transactions? Yes, we use computers to type our questions for our tests; perhaps even compute the grades of our students using Excel doing away with calculators.
Are these the only use of computers in our endeavor to help the young be prepared for their future?
